![I think most people have gotten theirs by now, so I don’t feel too bad about spoilers…anyway, the invitation was designed by my lovely and talented and generally wonderful friend Ellen (who, I should say, approached this whole process as a true artist—not just asking us what colors we liked or if we wanted birds or butterflys or whatever—but really trying to capture the whole vibe of the thing—us, our relationship, What Weddings Mean—in her design and ideas [she wanted the writing to be remniscent of old timey tattoos, because of the quirkiness, because for a while my tattoo sort of defined me, and because what two things are more permanent (in theory) than tattoos and marriages?]..She even carved us a stamp!)
Anyway, the point is, I’m pretty pleased, and if anyone out there is looking for their own custom-made invites, they should have a little chat with her: m.ellendavis at gmail dot com
[Apologies for the shitty scan—it’s much sharper in real life…]](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kp907zC6Vj1qzaddqo1_400.jpg)
