S.O.S.
(apologies for the double-post, but this is obviously more suited to the idle bridal crowd…)
1) We need to think of readings for folks to say at the ceremony—things about love and happiness and togetherness, etc. They can be poems or quotes from books or movies or tv or whatever…Ideally, it would be something from the perspective of an outsider, talking about the love of two other people,...

Married Friends, I Need Your Help
So apparently, our (Leila & Anthony’s) venue doesn’t do day-before rehearsals (WTFWTFWTF?) so we’re expected to do a walkthrough on the Thursday before our wedding, while the restaurant is open. This seems terrible: there are stairs involved in our walk down the aisle, we’re having somewhat complicated musical cues, and in general, I feel like we need a rehearsal....
In an attempt to be thrifty (among other things) we (Jess + Mr. Jess) need to print our invitations ourselves—it’s a little tricky; they’re double sided, and at least one side needs to be in color.
We were planning on taking them to Kinkos and throwing ourselves at (on?) their mercy, but we’re a little nervous. Is that a bad idea? Is there some place else we should go?

Do I have to wear heels to my wedding?
Factors to keep in mind: I CANNOT walk in heels, I am 5’6” and my groom is 6’4”. Also, I have to walk down a flight of stairs to get down the aisle.

How to Make Strawberry Jam on Intimate Weddings →
budgetbride:
There’s no denying the heartfelt, homemade goodenss that is strawberry jam. I’ve heard of several couples handing out such sure-to-be appreciated edibles at their weddings, and I’d love to have done the same…had I had the first idea how to concoct the stuff!
Well, Intimate Weddings has just posted on its blog a remarkably comprehensive step-by-step guide to making strawberry jam,...

So nice, I (Leila) cried at my desk, just a little.
Fun Facts!
1) I found out two days ago that the designer of my wedding dress decided to name it after me
[full disclosure: because I was the first person to buy it, not because I so perfectly personified the essence of the dress, but…hell, let’s pretend it’s at least a little bit of the latter!]
2) My caterer “lost” the form that had the information about every single rental...

Secret Photo Site?
I am trying to upload TOP SECRET (from my fiance, at least) wedding dress shopping photos and I’d like to do so on a site that requires a login to see the photos because of their TOP SECRET nature. Picasa is being horrendously slow. Is there a way to do this on Flickr? Another site?
I (Leila) am the one posting this, but I know for a fact that Jess is wondering too. What’s the deal with menus? We don’t need them, right?
